some things about us
Quinn Domiciliary Agency Ltd provides personal care and supported living to adults from the age of 19 to 65 years old, with learning disabilities including autistic spectrum disorders, sensory disabilities, mental health needs, physical disability and sensory impairment. We do not provide a service to children.
Quinn Domiciliary Agency Ltd is a family run company. The Management Team consists of family members who between them have a wealth of experience and qualifications.
QDA's registered manager Carrie Henderson-Roe has worked within the Care Sector for over 20 years. Her assistant manager, Claire Henderson, has also worked within the Care Sector for over 20 years. The sisters both started their career in care working with the elderly and have worked with adults and children with disabilities. Their parents were Foster Parents and fostered mainstream and special needs children. More recently, their family saw an important gap within the local Care Services, especially on a personal level, as their foster brothers and sister needed help making the transition into adult services and therefore started offering supported living to young adults with Learning Disabilities.
They have the additional benefit of 3 Senior Care Officers and 2 Senior Support Workers, each having years of experience and qualifications within the Care Sector. They offer support and motivation to all members of our Team.
Arrangements will be made for QDA’s management team to make an initial visit to meet potential Service Users or an arrangement can be made for a visit to our office at a convenient time to yourselves. A care package can be established, including times, days and the duration of visits, suitable and skilled support workers will be chosen. Should an urgent initial visit be required, please inform us of this matter.
Support workers from Quinn Domiciliary Agency Ltd are trained, supervised and supported to provide a personal care service and supported living for people with a range of disabilities and will ensure:
- Every service user is encouraged to exercise their right to control their own personal and financial affairs.
- Every service user is encouraged to maintain control over their own life, make their own decisions and freely express their wishes.
The services we provide are based upon an assessment of needs and reflect the requirements of a personal care plan. Care can be provided in the following areas:
- Assisting in and out of bed.
- Personal hygiene and grooming.
- Social and leisure activities.
- Assisting service users with their personal affairs.
- Supported living
As a domiciliary care agency, we work on the basis that most of our service users will remain responsible for their own medication. Quinn Domiciliary Agency Ltd will assist with administering medication if it has been agreed as part of an individual service users’ support plan and is consistent with the outcomes of the needs and risks assessments and service user plans.
Maintaining a level of independence is extremely important to us.
